OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(CCNMatthews - July 5, 2005) - The Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission (CNSC) will hold a two-day public hearing on an application by New Brunswick Power Nuclear Corporation, for the renewal of its licence to operate the Point Lepreau Nuclear Generating Station. The facility is located southwest of Saint John, New Brunswick, on the Lepreau Peninsula.
Hearing Day One: September 14, 2005

Hearing Day Two: November 30, 2005

Public hearings follow the agenda published prior to the hearing date.
The public is invited to comment on the application either by oral presentation or written submission on Hearing Day Two. Requests to intervene and text of oral presentations or written submissions must be filed with the Secretary of the Commission by October 31, 2005 at the address below.
