MOSCOW. May 22 (Interfax) - Russia and the United States said at consultations in Geneva on Sunday that they would continue efforts to resume the six-nation negotiations aimed at resolving the dispute surrounding North Korea's nuclear program.
'Russian-American consultations took place in Geneva on May 22. They involved the heads of [the two countries'] delegations to the six- party talks on the settlement of the nuclear problem of the Korean Peninsula,' the Russian Foreign Ministry said in a press release.
'Both parties confirmed a readiness to continue efforts to ensure the soonest possible resumption of the six-country process, which is the most optimal format of searching for ways to resolve this key international problem taking the concerns of all the parties into consideration,' the release reads. "
